How Wegovy® works

Wegovy® is the original branded Semaglutide pen manufactured by Novo Nordisk and the most clinically studied GLP-1 weight-loss medication on the market. As a once-weekly GLP-1 receptor agonist it slows gastric emptying, regulates appetite-related signals in the hypothalamus, and improves insulin response. In the landmark STEP-1 trial of 1,961 adults with obesity, the 2.4 mg maintenance dose produced an average 14.9% reduction in body weight over 68 weeks alongside meaningful improvements in waist circumference, blood pressure, and HbA1c. Doses titrate every 4 weeks (0.25 → 0.5 → 1.0 → 1.7 → 2.4 mg) to minimise nausea and other GI side effects. Each Wegovy® FlexTouch pen is dispensed cold-chain through our UAE-licensed standard pharmacy partners with original Novo Nordisk batch and serial numbers. Your Orvion physician handles the prescription, the pharmacy handles dispensing, and you get unlimited follow-up messaging.
